Standing as one

Thanks to everyone who joined together and stand as one in support of Boston. This originally posted April 16. The gallery posted is just a sampling of photos we’ve seen. You can find more photos on our Facebook page, the April 19 Race Shirt Day Facebook event, and searching on #RunChat Twitter feed.

#RunChat Boston

The running community is sending a message loud and clear — we are standing as one in the face of tragedy to show our support to the runners, spectators, volunteers and sponsors impacted by the tragedy on Monday in Boston.

Throughout Facebook, Twitter, blogs and more, photos of runners wearing their race shirts or wearing the Boston Marathon blue and yellow are everywhere.

We’re collecting a sampling of photos below of people in their race shirts and sharing them using the #RunChat tag or posting them to our Facebook page. We will add photos throughout the week.

You also can find hundreds of photos on the #RunChat feed, on Facebook and on blogs that have linked up to our first post. The Huffington Post has also published a story with a photo gallery, as well as Today.com.

We must also thank Celia (@runningseal) for letting us use her photo above.

Also check out #RunChat stands with Boston to see how you can help those affected by the bombings.

Nothing will change what happened yesterday but the outpouring of support among all runners (and walkers, and spectators, etc. etc.) is nothing short of incredible.
