#RunChatHunt 2021: The mid-year Scavenger Hunt is here!

One of the long-standing traditions of #RunChat is our scavenger hunt, better known across social media as #RunChatHunt. If you’re new to this, we hold this twice a year - once around mid-year, then again during the holidays. (We did take off the summer of 2019, but learned you really missed it!)

#RunChatHunt is really easy to join — we have a list of 10 items for you to find while running, you tweet photos of them, and just like that you’re entered to win some awesome prizes. All the information you need to know to take part is below!

The items to find (in order of #1 through #10 by your votes)

Through our nomination and voting process, these are the top 10 items for you to find. In order of most popular to least, here’s what to be on the lookout for through July 4, 2021.

  • Flowers

  • Trail

  • Bridge

  • Bird-related item (birds, birth bath, bird house, etc)

  • Flag

  • Mural

  • Statue

  • Water scene

  • Trees

  • Local park

The Rules

Rule No. 1 … HAVE FUN! This is meant to be a stress-free, take-your-mind-off-current-events type of event.

Creativity counts. If you're having trouble finding an item, please know that each individual thing doesn't have to be so literal. We've had some amazing creative entries over the years. Keep it fun, relaxed and entertaining to you and your Twitter followers.

Each item to find counts as ONE entry. So if you post a collage of items, sorry, it's only one entry. Post each item separately so you can have up to 10 entries for the prizes. Avoid posting a photo and saying it has two items in it. For example, a park can easily have trees too, but post about them separately.

#RunChatHunt starts as soon as this post is live and continues through 11:59 p.m. ET Sunday, July 4, 2021.

Winners will be announced later that week.

Photos must be new. We’re going by the honor system here, but please try not to sneak any archived pics in as entries for this version of #RunChatHunt.

Please note: We may use your photos that have the #RunChatHunt tag on other social media posts or future scavenger hunt events. We'll give you photo credit as much as we can.
